Do you know what your father was doing in Burma, was it fire brigade or army or something else? Do you know which years he was in Burma? I have recently found passenger list entries showing my great-uncle Harold Palmer returning to the UK from Bombay in 1935 and going back again to Bombay in 1936 - both times he states that he is in the Fire Brigade and that his country of permanent residence is India.
