    3. Rebecca I got the baptism of John Algeo Bullock Campbell (Colin Campbell's son) when I visited the British Library India Room but I had found it first online here http://indiafamily.bl.uk/ui/fulldisplay.aspx?recordid=014-000040676. Colin died 1818 at Malligaum near Bombay - I got this from the Bombay AlmanacĀ  - Google Books. This is not long before Thomas so check the records for that side of India. I would love to know what happened to their widows and children. I suspect the children might have gone into one of the orphanages either in Bombay or Calacutta. There were several posts about orphanages a few months ago. My chap John pops up later in Cawnpore on his marriage. He is: 25 Status: head Asst., Commis. Office, Benares. Your chapĀ  George turns up in Tasmania! Presumably Eleanor - daughter of Surgeon Penfield would have been looked after by her family or married again and been OK. I think my Colin's wife was of mixed blood and probably brought up in an orphange herself. There is one possible record of a subsequent remarriage to a fellow captain in the 67th who died very soon after. Have you looked for a subsequent re-marriage for Eleanor My e-mail address is f.ross1@btinternet.com Frances
