Hello List Some editions of the Calcutta Gazette, and the Gazette of India, both government publications where official information was 'gazetted' are available as searchable pdf files on "DSpace at West Bengal State Central Library" which is the Digital repository of the 'West Bengal Public Library Network' , a joint effort of public Libraries of West Bengal. http://dspace.wbpublibnet.gov.in/dspace/items-by-subject?subject=GAZETTEERS or http://tinyurl.com/27n8roq These publications contain information about matters such as appointments, promotions, awards etc. A more extensive range of volumes is available on the Digital Library of India website which unfortunately are not searchable.
