So many of my rellies relate to soldiers who came out on troop ships from England, Ireland and maybe America too, before 1800. I wondered what such a voyage would be like so I googled and got an interesting site about a man who worked to improve the condition of the soldiers camps, hospitals, troop ships, slave ships and convict ships. There was even mention of a ship one of my rellies came out on and it was referred to as "the Hell Ship".
