Thank you Ron for your reply. It doesn't look anything like either of those 2 names but on trying to read the Will again with a magnifying glass it does look like Kennedy/Kenedy Estates and not a place Kennedy. An annexe to the Will was headed "In the High Court of Judicature at Madras" and stated John Thorpe was a European British subject and lately residing at Annacondah. I am not familiar with the terminology of Wills but it looks as though The Right ?? John Fennelly residing at No 2 Armenian St in Black Town, Madras, R/C Bishop of Madras was the executor of John Thorpe's Will. I'll go over the Will again and see if I can make anything more of it.
