Specifically, I am looking at objects these missionaries collected and later donated to Scottish museums. I would love to hear from anyone who may have ancestors who fit this description: worked with Tibetans in China/India (Darjeeling and Kalimpong areas) or in Tibet itself and collected objects which are either now in museums or still with family members. There are more people who fit this description than you might at first think and I am hoping that family histories will offer a key to their identity. Please reply to this post if you think an ancestor fits this bill and you are interested in helping my research.
