I know they were indentured servants temple monks from India who were married. I believe his name was Mahat Mahand, later changed to 'William Branch Bernhardt', my great grandfather. His wife was named 'Jane Hall', but I do not know her real name. I am trying to find out information about that family in India. If anyone has any information I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
