Does anyone, by chance, have the name McCARR in their tree? I am looking in particular for Charlotte McCarr who married John RING in St Thomas Mount, Madras on October 14 1840. She was a widow and I have no idea of her maiden name. He was in the Madras Artillery at the time. Here is a de Ga family group, from Bombay, India. Anthony George de Ga (1811 1862) married Angela Fernandes (1815 1897), location and date unknown, and they lived in Prospect House, Grant Road, Bombay. Anthony George had been born about March 1811. Angela, his wife, was born on March 21st., 1815. Anthony was an Assistant, Messrs Forbes and Co. Several of their children were baptized, between 1836 and 1843, in the Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Hope, Buleshawar, Kalbadevi, Bombay. They had issue, including: A. Anthony George de Ga, born about 1830. He married Mrs. Leopoldina de Souza. No issue. B. Joseph Maria de Ga, born about 1833. He married J. DAguiar. C. Michael Angelo de Ga, born on June 11th., 1836 and he was bp. in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Hope, Buleshawar, on June 26th., 1836. He married J. de Souza. They had issue. D. Nicholas de Ga, born on November 10th., 1841; he was bp. in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Hope, Buleshawar, on November 26th., 1841. On February 7th., 1872, Nicholas married Rose Mary Stevens. They had issue. E. Angela de Ga, born about 1845. Angela married Franklin de Souza. They had issue. F. Maria Theresa de Ga, born about 1849. She married Joseph Anthony de Lima. They had issue. G. Emily de Ga. She married Frank Rozario / Rosario and they lived in Karachi. They had issue. Here is another BOCARRO family group, originally from Bombay. A. Dr. Amador BOCARRO was born about 1852. He married Angela Theresa MISQUITTA. Amador and Theresa probably lived and died in Bombay, India. Amador 82 died on October 31st., 1934. Amador and Angela had issue: a. Hubert Alexander BOCARRO. On December 22nd., 1914, in Bangalore, Hubert married (1) Rhoda Renee COSTELLO (1889 1922). Rhoda died in November 1922. Hubert Alexander Bocarro, widower, storekeeper, married (2) on April 2nd., 1923, Millicent Dennis 36, widow. At some stage, Hubert is reported to have changed his surname from Bocarro to Bryant. Hubert and Rhoda had issue. b. Dr. Lionel James (Jim) BOCARRO, F.R.C.S., born October 1st., baptized on November 3rd., 1884, in the church of Our Lady of Health, Cavel, Bombay. Married Hilda Penny or Penney. Later, migrated to England. Dr. Jim had a practice in Bermondsey, in East London, England. c. Ianthe Mildred BOCARRO. About 1912, Ianthe married Joseph Francis BURGESS. Ianthe Mildred Burgess died on March 7th., 1955. Joseph and Ianthe had six children. d. Lydia Florence BOCARRO. Married Lionel FRANCIS. Lydia Florence Francis died July 20th., 1934. No issue. e. Ernest BOCARRO, who married Florence KAYSON. They had issue. f. Mabel BOCARRO. Mabel married Victor WHYTE. Victor and Mabel had 4 children.
