I am looking for some record of my ggg-grandfather, Robert McNabb. He died sometime between 1870 and 1880. In his wife's obituary, it said he died in 1873, but I found in the October 14, 1875 issue of the Auburn Courier, under the heading, "Butler Items", that "Mr. McNabb died at the residence of his son, D. McNabb of this place." I believe this is Robert, even though the death dates are off a couple of years. This is the only record I have of him. With all this said, can anyone tell me where else to look? I've been through the Butler Cemetery and couldn't find him. Where was he buried, was there a mortician, is there anything that would tell me anything about this man! (I'm frustrated, he's been my brick wall for years!) Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
