I am researching for any information on the parents of Leonard Hartman who lived in DeKalb Co. in mid to latter 1800's, He married Maria Mertz. I know his father was named Leonhard (I found that on the ship passenger list), his mother was listed as Epha. I would like to know her maiden name and where they emigrated from in Germany. I am also researching the Hovarter family. If anyone would happen to have a photo of Leonard and Maria, or any of the early Hovarter's - namely, John and Nancy (Weirich) Hovarter, and Henry and Catherine Hovarter I would like very much to obtain copies.
