Thank you to all who responded to me personally to my email. I am new to list & this is my first post. I have been searching for my grandparents ,whom i never knew & have met many deadends. I was told he had the same given name of my father BENJAMIN HARRIS b 17apr1893 in DEKALB CTY ,IN. I understand records there were destroyed or not available before 1910 (birth records). My grandfather ,a BENJAMIN HARRIS was married to a MARTHA??? No where in any records from areas where they lived in MI/IN/OH have i found a BENJAMIN HARRIS with a spouse named MARTHA. Not until at a library near chapel hill,nc where some family search tapes from an LDS were shown to me. According to the info viewed ,there was a BENJAMIN HARRIS b 1857 in RANDOLPH COUNTY,IN(union city). My grandfather died at 83 years of age in 1940. Also a MARTHA REEVES b 1861 in RANDOLPH COUNTY,IN. They married in 1878 in Randolph county. In my fathers family he was the youngest of 5 children. The oldest was born around 1880-82.
