I have just subscribed to the DeKalb list and I am also interested in the SMITH discussion. One of my ancestors, Francis (Frank) BEUCHAT, was married to a Mary SMITH. Her birth as listed on the 1900 census as 1825 in Pennsylvania. They had three children: William Henry Beuchat who married Sophronia TROUPE on September 25, 1884 in Fairfield twp. in DeKalb Co. ; Lois Mary Beuchat FOSTER who married Lewis FOSTER and they had taken over the farm of Frank and Mary; third child is unknown ( probably a female.) Wm Henry and Sophronia had 5 children: Wilbur Eli who was born July 18, 1885 in Wayne Twp, Noble Co. died Nov. 2, 1912 in Fairfield Twp. ; Mable Issola May Beuchat born Jan 14, 1887 in Wayne Twp; married Lamont Joseph LIKES May 20, 1910 and had 5 children. I am very interested in locating a descendant of the LIKES line. Anyone out there who knows anything about this line, please contact me. I have gathered information about he other 4 children of William Henry and Sophronia, as well as the Ohio and Pennsylvania lines. Thanks. Cathy
