Dear Blain, You are correct in stating that Lewis R. Tiffany died of wounds following the battle of Stones River (which began Dec. 31, 1862) but I believe your date is wrong. He received a severe gunshot wound in right hip and thigh and was sent to Nashville Hospital where he died Jan. 14, 1863; buried there in Grave #2630.
