"All children baptized 2 May 1829 at St. Jacob's Church, Stark Co., Ohio --sponsors were parents; William and his second wife, Catherine. Margaret is listed as "grown" at time of her baptism." William owned land in Jackson Twp. by 1827. Children by wife #2 were (1) Sarah Adeline, b 30 Dec 1834, Stark Co., OH, (2) Manias, b 4 Dec 1836, Stark Co., OH, (3) Julann, b 13 May 1829, Stark Co., OH. Wm. MAY be related to George HUMBERT, m Margaretha (Reformed Communicant 18 Oct 1829, J. W. HAMM Minister). Children: (1) Eliza Catherine, b 13 Sep 1845, Stark Co., OH, (2) Daniel, b 8 Oct 1847, Stark Co., OH. From records of St. Jacob's Church; Landowners in Jackson Twp. by 1827, HUMBERT, WM. and HUBLER, Abraham. Just a hunch but I think your HUBERTs came from Maryland. Perhaps Hannah married a HUBLER, had Oliver, first husband died so she re-married a PUTT, Oliver goes by PUTT because that's who raised him but for the government he went by his legal surname of HUBLER.
