One of Jonathan's sons is Joseph. Joseph and Elizabeth Masters had a son, William. William married Mary Ann Brubaker, then her sister, Sarah Jane Brubaker and had a son Jacob. Jacob married Amanda C. Knouse and they had a son Fred Lewis who married Mattie Harmon. They had a son Herman, who is my paternal grandfather. It is my understanding through ancestry.com that Jonathan actually came from Germany, but the family stories say that ancestors came from Wales. Would like to zero in on that.
