    1. Re: [INDEKALB-L] Mass migration Stark Co, OH to De Kalb Co, IN
    2. My great great grandmother's sister Elizabeth Good Goodwin and her husband Samuel Goodwin along with members of his family migrated to DeKalb County in 1854 from Ashland County in Ohio. This portion of Ashland County was previously part of Wayne County prior to the formation of Ashland County. Elizabeth prior to her marriage to Samuel Goodwin in 1843 lived with her parents and Siblings in Liberty Township in Seneca County. Liberty Township borders Sandusky County. It is not known how the marriage of Elizabeth and Samuel came about as one was living in Seneca County and the other in Ashland. Kind of a strange coincidence. And I am also curious what made them decide to move to DeKalb. Samuel's family originated from Pennsylvania, while Elizabeth's family was from Virginia.
