I have Haines ancestors in Snyder/Union Co. in PA. The dates I have for these people are earlier and have no information on their descendants. If yours come from this area, let me know. thanks, Peg

Hi Peg, First, let me thank you for the swift reply to my query. Yes, both John Haines and his wife, Amelia Snyder Haines came from Snyder and Union Co. PA areas. Some say they also lived for a time in Juniata Co. With the boundary changes, that could be why there seems to be records for them in all three counties. John and Amelia were married in PA and their first child was born there. There was a Robert, Samuel, Jacob and George Haines who also immigrated to Noble Co., IN from PA. Did any of your Haines families also go to Ohio and IN? Thanks again for taking the time to answer my query.
