PHYLES or FILES, but I did find a John FALES in 1880: 1880, OH, Williams Co, St Joseph Twp, pg 593B. Willard FALES 78 ME Farmer MA MA; Martha FALES wife 54 OH Keep house PA OH; John FALES son single 21 IN Works On Farm ME OH; Silus FALES son single 19 OH Works On Farm ME OH. Willard FALES is in Wilmington Twp, DeKalb Co, IN in 1870 1870, IN, DeKalb Co, Wilmington Twp, PO: Butler, 16 June, pg 7/443. Willard Fales 68 farmer labor Main; Martha 46 keep house Ohio; James W. 22 laborer Ind; Henry W.? 20 laborer Ind; May 18 at home Ind; Mary A. 16 at home Ind; Sarah 15 Ind; Peter 13 Ind; John 10 Ind; Silas B. 8 Ind; William 4 Ind; Harriet 2?/12 Ind. Problem is..... I've seen other family trees with his name as John "W." FALES. Maria Jane CHILCOTE was married to William W. WINES in Defiance Co, OH 16 Dec 1875 by Charles W. Barney, JP. (Vol 2A, pg 303). Maria is with 1st husband,William on the 1880 census in Farmer Twp, Defiance Co, OH. 1880, OH, Defiance Co, Farmer Twp, pg 221C. Wm. WINES Self marr 28 OH Farmer parents: OH; Maria WINES Wife marr 21 OH Keep House parents: OH; George H. WINES Son 2 OH parents: OH; Charles F. WINES Son 2M OH parents: OH. She is found on the 1900 census as Jane PHYLES in Montpelier, Williams co, OH : 1900, OH, Williams Co, Superior Twp, Montpelier, ED# 118, pg 6B.
