The US census for 1880 shows the family living in Adair County Iowa, and the Iowa 1885 Census shows the same location. John married Margaret E Stansberry 24 Dec 1879 in Van Buren County at the home of George Stansberry. The children of this marriage are: George Rolland Jackman b 13 Dec 1880 (My grandfather) James Bernard "Jim" Jackman b 13 Dec 1882 Lois L Jackman b 13 May 1886 Clayton C "Alfred" Jackman b 9 Mar 1889 George Rolland Jackman married Levada Inez Lundin 23 Aug 1905 in Marshalltown Iowa. My father Lester Bernard Jackman was born in Clemons Iowa 16 Jul 1906. My uncle Richard Harold Jackman b Clemons 16 Jan 1908. The family moved to Carmangay Alberta in Feb 1910. The latest information I have found was the 1920 and 1930 census. Alfred was in Marshalltown Iowa and Jim was in wisconsin. Lois was married in living in alemada Ca at the time of her passing in 1955. I need information on John H Jackman or my great uncles Jim and Alfred to trace the family back to Ireland where 3 brothers immigrated from during the Irish Potato Famine. Any help would be most appreciated.
