Jerry Buttermore Butler -- Jerry Lee Buttermore, 48, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, after an illness of several years. A lifetime area resident, Mr. Buttermore was born Sept. 4, 1936 in Wilmington Township to Howard and Neva (Wort) Buttermore. He married Shirley Irene Ward on Feb. 10, 1973 in Hicksville, Ohio. She survives. Other survivors include a stepmother Mrs. Mona Buttermore, Auburn; two sons, Gary Wayne Buttermore, Auburn and Bradly Buttermore, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Debra Metcalf, Hamilton; Mrs. Sherry Betts, Ashley, Mrs. Cathy Hulbart, Germany, and Peggy Hart, Albion; a stepson, Terry Ward, Butler, two sisters Mrs. Janet Hildebrandt and Mrs. Patty Shoudel, both of Butler; five grandchildren and one step-grandchild. A step-son preceded him in death. Services will be held in the Johnson Funeral Home in Butler at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Ray Miller will officiate. Friends mayh call at the funeral home from 7 - 9 p.m. tonight and from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.
