I am very excited about this project and hope other KEPLERS will join our DNA Project. It is my belief that the KEPLERs in the USA are from one common ancestor. The sooner we get started the sooner we could have results that could possibly break down walls for all of us with our KEPLER ancestors or at least give us a clue of where to go next. The surname Kepler has several spelling variations: Keplar, Keppler, Kepner, Capler and Kessler. The first Keplers were found in the first census in 1790 and men with the Kepler surname are found in the Pennsylvania Archives who served in the American Revolutionary War. These Keplers were located in the states of MD and PA and from there have spread out all over the United States. As stated above it is our theory that all Keplers in America have a common ancestor. This is what this DNA Project is about to help us prove this theory and to find out where our/your fingerprint origins began.
