TUTTLE - Ashley, age 97, died Friday at 5:30 a.m. in Betz Nursing Home of Auburn. She was a homemaker and member of North Scott Christian Church. She was born Jan. 31, 1898, in Williams County, Ohio, to John and Etta (SLATER) FRY. On Jan. 30, 1915, she married Freeman TUTTLE. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1980. She is survived by four sons, Kenneth TUTTLE of Ashley, Richard TUTTLE of Elkhart, Willis TUTTLE of Golden Lake, and John TUTTLE of Auburn; one daughter, Judy SLUTZMAN of Ashley; 23 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son, Raymond TUTTLE; one daughter, Ruth TUTTLE; one sister, Nora ROGERS; three brothers, Sam, Elsworth and Ralph FRY; and one great-grandson, Zachery KLINK. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola. Services begin at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, the Rev. Glenda Ray Woodcox will officiate.
