    1. Carol E Domer of DeKalb County Indiana killed in WWII
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Domer Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Th.2ADI/2146 Message Board Post: Carol E. Domer of Dekalb County Indiana was killed January 1, 1943, while serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He is officially listed as missing or buried at sea and his name appears on the “Tablets of the Missing” at the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines. We are seeking information regarding his military and civilian life and especially to locate family members still living so we can send them the free photographs of the grave site if he is buried here or the beautiful memorial where their name appears in the case they are Missing in Action or Buried at Sea. I am a retired Hoosier from Madison County Indiana residing in the Philippines with my Filipino wife. We are seeking family and military information of nearly a thousand servicemen from Indiana killed in the South Pacific during World War II. There are 17,206 Americans buried here and thousands more that are missing or buried at sea and are honored on the “Tablets of the Missing”. Please visit our website to see the beautiful memorial located in Manila, Philippines. http://fizkid.tripod.com/ We visited the cemetery as visitors and left with a mission in our heart. We have been taking photographs of the graves of the Indiana servicemen buried here and have been uniting them (at no charge) with their family members in Indiana and across the United States. To receive the photo of your family member, neighbor or friend all you need is a working email address. Please help us find the families that might be still living of the men that gave their lives for our freedoms. Our project is only successful because of teamwork and your contributions are noted on our website. If you wish to help us we will be pleased to add your name to our ACKNOWLEDGMENT page. The obituaries usually did not appear till to three months after the death date. These are the most helpful in finding the families. If you are not a genealogist you can help by just picking up the telephone directory and find someone with the same last name and give them a call. It has worked many times. 1. Dekalb Circuit Court decree 1851/Luther and Sarah Weeks
    2. Gwen Majewski
    3. I have a sheriff's deed recorded November 29, 1851, and made "this nineteenth day of July, 1851 between William K. Straight Sheriff of Dekalb County, Indiana and Sarah Weeks of the County and State aforesaid." Whereas, the said Sarah Weeks obtained a decree at the May Term 1851 of the Dekalb Circuit Court against Mary Weeks, George W. Weeks, Josiah Weeks, Rebecca McDonald, Rufus McDonald, Mary Palmer, Nathan Palmer, Almyra Bartlett and Silas Bartlett heirs at law of Luther B. Weeks deceased for the sum of six hundred and thirty eight dollar, being the amount due on a mortgage executed by the said Luther B. Weeks to the said Sarah Weeks and dated March 9th, 1846 wherein the said Luther B. Weeks conveyed to the said Sarah Weeks the following described premises .............. Can anyone tell me where I can obtain a copy of the above-mentioned decree from the May Term 1851 court? Or the mortgage executed by Luther to Sarah? Also, I cannot find a death date or place for Luther B. Weeks. There is a Luther B. Weeks and Mary Weeks listed in the 1850 Newville, Dekalb, IN census. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
