    3. Hi Katie; My condolences on your mother's condition. That's tough. I've never run across a record of permission slips. The marriage records for the 1800's generally have a hand-written license and then a hand-written certificate that was signed by the person who performed the ceremony. Those two documents may be viewed on film through the LDS Family History Library - I've searched their marriage records from the early 1800s through about 1880. I have never seen any reference to anything else and doubt that the county records would have them. You might write to someone in Dearborn Co. and ask - the County Courthouse Vital Records dept. might be the first place to query. Sorry I can't help you more. Best of luck to you. Karen
