"Another Pioneer Gone.--- Mrs. Anna Bartholome, wife of Joseph Bartholome, died after long suffering at her home on Walnut street on Tuesday afternoon, December 29th, at 4:40 p.m. She was born in Bavaria, Germany, Sept. 23, 1823, and was aged 69 years, 2 months and 27 days. At the age of 19 years she came to America, thence to Lawrenceburgh, and has been a continous resident of this city for fifty years. Shortly after her arrival here she was married to Mr. Joseph Bartholome, to whom were born 14 children. A husband 72 year of age, nine children, twenty-one grand children survive her. The funeral will take place on Friday morning, Dec. 23, at eight o'clock, at the St. Lawrence Church---services by Rev., J.F. Sondermann." NOTE: I am not related, and have no further information.
