Nancy Cheek b.1753 d.1833, dau of George Cheek of Front Royal, VA their son Theodore E, b.1785? d.1842? m. Pheobe Bowers b.1793? their son Henry C. b.1842 d.1902 m. Harker Lee 1866 I cannot confirm the relationship of Henry to Theodore to Eli. The dates of birth and death of Theodore & Pheobe may be off and are suspect as it makes Theordore 57 & Pheobe 49 when Henry was born, with Theodore dying the same year. Any info on Eli Green and Nancy Cheek is appreciated. There is a Cheek Family Chronicles which I have if anyone needs info from it. It does have more info on George Cheek and other Cheek descendants. According to the book, nothing is known of the origins of George & wife Leannah before their names appeared in Frederick Co, VA records in late 1700s. It does not have much on Eli and Nancy other than to list them. It runs 1100 pgs and I cannot verify any of the information in it, but the research seems extensive. I have an interest in the Cheek family as I have discovered in the 1850 census that my gg grandfather Henry Nutter worked as a Gardner on the Cheek estate prior to leaving for California in the late 1850's. If you have some info on the Cheek family and their property in Dearborn county I would appreciate hearing from you.
