    1. [INDEARBO] WILLIAM DOUGLAS AND LUCINDA ARMSTRONG
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: ARMSTRONG AND DOUGLAS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sh.2ADI/1900 Message Board Post: William Douglas, Ohio born, married Lucinda Armstrong (b. 1816) in 1843 in Evansville. Lucinda was born likely in North Bend/Cleves or possibly Reily township, Butler Co.OH. Currently, I believe her parents were Stephen and Ruth Armstrong but I don't know and would like to learn. I believe her Armstrong brothers were Cyrus (b.1805), Aaron (b. 1807), Uel (b.1814) and Stephen (b. 1818 North Bend). Can't prove all relations yet. Methodists generally. The Armstrong males were mostly chair and cabinet makers around City of Lawrenceburgh , later Cyrus, et al, would form Armstrong Furniture Co, of Evansville and Memphis. Lucinda Douglas, widow, lived in Cyrus household in 1860 with her children Aaron, Uel, Arabella and Kate with all kids Indiana born except Arabella, b. 1850, in KY. Lucinda's spouse, William, apparently died after 1853. Where? Where did they live until the mid 1850's? Most all lived in Evansville in later decades. Need help from a history detective who has worked the Lawrenceburgh, North Bend, Reily/Butler circuit, ultimately to prove who the parents of these Armstrong's were. Stephen and Ruth, the suspected parents, sold their BLM land in Reily township in 1813, likely then moved back over to North Bend/Cleves and Stephen likely died about 1819 with only Ruth showing up as head of household in 1820 and 1830. Hamilton County probate files mostly destroyed. All aid will be highly appreciated.
