Surnames: Abbott, Pope Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Sh.2ADI/1894 Message Board Post: According to the Indiana State Library's "Indiana Marriages Through 1850", there was a Jordan ABBOTT married to Mary Ann POPE on March 1, 1838 in Dearborn County. The 1840 census for Dearborn County shows a Jordon Abbott, presumably the aforementioned, with a wife and one male child under age 5. Does anyone know anything about this couple - specifically, who were their children? I do not find them in the 1850 census. Thank you.
