He was born in Gleisweiller, Germany in June of 1818 and married Catherine SCHOENSIEGEL. His daughter Pauline, born in 1854 in Louisville, KY, married August MILLER (Mueller), born 1858. August was the son of John Peter MILLER (Mueller), and Anna Maria SCHIPPER who immigrated about 1865 from Nassau, Germany with their other children Wilhelm, Louisa, and Louis. I know from 2nd Great Grandmother Pauline's letters, that other Doerr's, such as Nicholas, I believe her uncle, and Schipper family members were living in Lawrenceburg and Aurora areas and moved back and forth to Cincinnati.
