Gy: I must have missed the original posts regarding Rudolph Kern. I may be able to help you with some information. I grew up in Harrison, OH (in the '40s & '50s) and lived next door to Rudolph "Buzz" Kern Jr. and played with his children. Buzz was my Cub Scoutmaster and his wife, Leona, was my Den Mother. Buzz's father, Rudolph "Pops" Kern, Sr. lived a block away and I also knew him, but not as well. As you may know, Harrison, OH and West Harrison, IN are up against each other, and the state line runs down the center of (you can probably guess this) State St. The Kerns' drug store, West Side Drugs, was on the IN side, right across State St. from my father's grocery store, Whitewater Market, which was in OH.
