Surnames: Robbins,Reeese,Savage,Neal,James,Cuthbert,Childers,Ulrich,shatraw Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sh.2ADI/1891 Message Board Post: does anybody out there have any connection to Isaac D.Robbins, born in Manchester,Indiana on March 3,1843, son of Elijah C. and Ann Robbins,brother of Daniel G.,Richard,Ann Eliza and Montraville, Isaac was the Youngest. he served in Company K of the 26th Indiana as a private, fought at Prairie Grove,Ark. participated at the Siege of Vicksburg and capture of Yazoo City,Mississippi, fought and was captured at Stirlings Plantation in sept 1863, P.O.W. Camp Ford,Confederate prison in tyler,Texas. escaped latter half of Jan.1864. re-enlisted in Feb of 1865 in the 146th Indiana co.G. gained Sergeants rank in March and mustered out in August of 1865, he married Hester Ann Neal of Rising Sun , indiana. their children . Priscilla Ann (Savage),John Neal, Montraville G. and my Grt Grandmother,Mabel E.(Swift)and later(VanHouten) Isaac d.Robbins died of stomach cancer on November 5th,1909 and is buried with first wife Hester in olive branch section of lot 3 in the Cedar Hedge Cem. of Ris! ing Sun,Indiana. if you feel there is a gen-connect with any names stated above please contact me, or write: Tim P.Reese: P.O.Box 1641, Monterey,Calif. 93942
