We have been tracing his geneology in the last few months. Dave's grandfather was (Heinrich?) Henry Grise Kleinhans. Geneology sometimes lists his last name as Kleinhaus. Henry & Sophie Altemeyer Kleinhans are buried @ Old Beardshear , now Willow View Cem., Dayton, Ohio. Henry had three children by Sophie, Edward Herman, dob 27 Feb 1897, dod Feb., 1969 Dave is his only living son, a brother Edwin H. lived 1 day, dob 1928, Louis Henry, dob 15 Oct 1902, dod 13 Mar 1999, and Elmer Wilhelm , dob abt 1904, dod 27 Sep 1988. Elmer has a living son, Norman, & a living grandson, Norman. We are at present trying to trace back Henry's geneology. His father was a Wilhelm Kleinhans & we think Henry was from Schwerte, Germany. At present we do not know where Henry's naturalization process took place. We know it wasn't Dayton, Oh. Ancestry lists a Henry Kleinhans staying with a Marie Graeff in Chicago, Ill. somewhere in the 1870s. We wonder if Henry wasn't naturalized in Cook Co., IL. Please contact me if you need any further information or if you know any data about Henry or Wilhelm Kleinhans.
