They have most year books of the Old High School. They also have all of the Aurora News papers on microfilm. Lawrenceburg is the Dearborn County seat. The court house has all birth and death records. They can be intimating bunch. They were not very nice when i stopped in to ask about researching. The county has growen so fast, their new building was out growen before they moved in so have very little research space for the public. The Dearborn County libary has much more to offer on the county. They have many funeral home books on the shelves as well as a card index of events from the Lawrenceburg papers. Also the county cemeterys are very well covered. The liberian is very hepfull. Also keep an eye on ebay, post cards of the area come up a lot and cover many subjects.

They had 7 daughters. I am a descendent of the oldest daughter, Anna. She married Per Jonson. They came to this country, but not before Her eldest daughter and my Great Grandmother, Johanna Persdotter, married my Great Grandfather, Jons Bengtson (Bengson). Her sisters also immigrated to Parkers Prairie, Henning, Spruce Center, Min. Marie and Ellen fell in love with and married 2 brothers, Ole Arvidson and Jons Nilson after they arrived in Spruce Center. Next, Bangta and Per Svenson, cared for the father Bengt Monson who lived to be 94. Their children were Johanna, Ingar, Betsy, Hannah, Jons and Kjersti. Kjersti married an old family friend, Peter Skoglund. Swan Peterson married another cousin, Augusta. They had 3 daughters; Maria, married Isaac Nelson, (they had 3 children; Nels,Jens, Johanna) Johanna married Andrew Nelson,(they had 3 children; Nels, Anna, Ingrid) Kjarsti married Martin Nelson,(they had 3 childr! en; Nels, Anna and Ingrid. Daughters of Ingar and Bengt Monson return us to a larger family as they had 6 children with Ingar and Anders Person; Ellen remained unmarried and died at 95, Ingrid married Dave Costello and had 9 children: Corrine, Maude, Eugene, Pearl, Nina, Nettie (Tommy and a baby died at birth) Elna married Frank Whitman and they had 3 children; Elna, Ida and Raaleeigh. I know I have the name of the town Ingrid Persons came from, but beyond that, do no have much. She was born in Ronose Skone, Sweden to Anders Perrson (aka Andrew Pearson) and Ingar Perrson. Ingrid came over in 1879 and when she became a young woman went to work for a wealthy ranch family in North Dakota as a nurse maid. David Costello was a cowboy for this same ranch and that is how they met. Am curious as to your lineage with this family. Do you descend from Ingrid's family? Jan
