Please could someone look for a burial for Margaret,Maggie, Eitel Doerr date of death 10 Nov 1942 in LA. CA.? However I can not find her burial record. It is possible she was sent back to her home in Aurora for burial. Or was visiting there at time of death. Her husband and 2 daughters were in CA in 1942. I know this is a long shot, but maybe she is buried in the local cemetery with her parents. Thanks for your time and help, Helen
Good Morning Jill, I have found several marriage records at the historical society. They have them on Microfilm. There is an index book so lookups are pretty easy. Give these folks a try. Dearborn County Historical Society 508 West High Street Lawrenceburg, IN 47025-1916 Ph: (812) 537-4075 Hours: Tues through Thurs., 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fri. 10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. EDT The Historical Society will research a specific name for a $5.00 per hour charge. The Historical Society requires a first and last name of the person to be researched, along with a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope. Please send the request to the above address. Dan, Thanks so much. I think this is the correct cemetery. Several of the names and dates match. As I mentioned, I grew up in this area and did not know that the cemetery existed. Again, thanks for the speedy response. This person had asked about a Turner cemetery in Dearborn County. This cemetery is located on Wilkerson Road near Cold Springs. I have been looking for the burial site of my (several greats) Grandfather, William Turner. He came from England in 1819, received a land grant from President Monroe and farmed on that land which is approximately a half mile from that cemetery. The census records show a number of William Turners through the years. I grew up in that neighborhood (County Line Road) and was never aware of this cemetery. Having walked a number of other cemeteries in this area and been unsuccessful, I am hoping this may his resting place. The hope of a description has certainly brightened the search. Just dates would be helpful. My husband and I (both formerly of Moores Hill) have lived in Michigan since 1973. We are both looking for our ancestors. This brings me to my second point. I have encountered several references to Masing’s cemetery records, Vol. C. I am wondering if copies of this volume are for sale? I read that he donated a copy to Carnegie Hall. Since my husband’s family is entrenched in Sparta, this would be most helpful for both of us. I just thought you might know of availability. Hi all, I'm searching for my 2nd great grandparents: Thomas Miller and his wife Mary Mann. They were originally from Indiana, Pennsylvania and moved to Forest Hill, Indiana. They had 13 children, the youngest was Riley Miller, born in 1852 in Forest Hill. Riley married Ada B. Ryker and are my great grandparents. I would like to find the siblings of Riley and more info on Thomas Miller and his wife Mary Mann Miller, if possible. Thanks a million, Sharon Jones
