    2. Rikard E. Hill
    3. Debby...Noticed you are also researching HILL and BROWN families. My roots go back to "John" Cristopher HILL and his brother, John "Henry" HILL. They were German HILLEs who dropped the "e" in their name after spending many years in the USA. They arrived in the Weisburg area of Dearborn Co. in 1865 and 1860, respectively. What HILL family line are you researching? Also, my paternal Grandmother was Mae Brown, daughter of Calvin BROWN and Mary Elizabeth HENKE. I also have some info on her family, but could use more. Do you know this BROWN family? 1. [INDEARBO] Seek James F STAFFORD b May 1842 IRE > St John abt 1859-69 > IN 1881
    2. Jim Stafford
    3. I have found the family of James Freeborn Stafford in the 1900 IN Census. They lived in Aurora IN. I seek anyone that has ties to this/my family. James F Stafford married Catharine Driscoll in St. John CAN in 1869. They had a large family there. Children were William, Alice, John/Jack (my GF), Kate, Jane, Elizabeth/Bess and James Jr. James moved to Aurora to seek work in 1880. The rest of the family came to Aurora in 1884. In the 1880 Census, James shows as a boarder in the household of Harry Halsann. James was a Nailer, and eventually got work at O.P. Cobb Nail and Rolling Company in Aurora. James was born in Ireland. Anecdotal information suggests his father may have been named James as well, and that he was born in England. Kate married Web BETTLE and died giving birth to their 1st child. William married Clara GLARDON. Jane Stafford married Morrey HILL. Bess married Dick CRISWELL (tied to Downey Criswell). John/Jack married Nellie PEARCE and James Jr married Edna SINSEL. Much of the family is buried at the Riverview Cemetery in Aurora. Regards, Jim Stafford __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Lizzie comes from Decatur Co and I have found her family there in several census. The son Duffield's father was in the Central Indiana Hospital for aproximately 1 year -- about April 1910 to April 1911, his parents divorced shortly after that and his father has been found in Philadelphia in the 1920 census, I could not find his mother in 1920 but she perhaps remarried. Duffield died in Texas last May and I have contacted his son there. It is a very sad story but the son knew almost nothing about his father or background, parents etc. He was so surprised to know that his grandfather had another family and he had additional relatives. Thanks for any help. Karen in CA
