    3. Beth, I don't think the cemetery for which you are searching is in Moores Hill itself. Their main cemetery is Forest Hill; there are also a number of small family cemeteries just outside town on all sides according to my map plus a few unlabeled cemeteries. Actually Mt. Sinai is a small hamlet in Hogan Township on Old State Route (SR) 350 just off State Route 350 approximately halfway between Moores Hill and Aurora (~7 mi from each). Whichever way you come (from Moores Hill or Aurora) take the Old SR 350 turnoff (on left from MH; on right from Aurora). Once in town you can't miss the church and its cemetery. Note that the route from Aurora on SR 350 has another turnoff on the left for Old SR 350 that is a mile or so before the one you want on the right (the new SR 350 bisects the old winding route). 3. Hi, I don't have the birth records for Dearborn, but I have the Dearborn County, Indiana, Cemetery Records, Vol A, by Masing. There's 1 Hedrick, with next of kin: pgs 154,156, Part 1, Greendale Cemetery Records: Hedrick, Bethania, d July 9, 1902, buried July 10, 1902, PS-E 2, buriel permit entry # 2788, born Oct 24, 1823, West Virginia. Last residence Lawrenceburg, IN, do Elizabeth Hedricks. There's 2 Sadlers Pgs 512 & 516, Part 2, Greendale Cemetery Records: Sadler, Robert Sr, d Aug 14, 1963, buried Aug 17,1963, M-62-, buriel permit entry #9038, born c1884. Last residence Lawrenceburg, IN. Pgs 602 & 606, Part 2, Greendale Cemetery Records: Sadler, Vivian L., d Dec 29, 1976, buried Jan 3, 1977, M-68-, buriel permit entry #10515, born Jul 3, 1895, Indiana. Last residence Greendale, IN. n Bennett ? (their question mark, n=nee or maiden name) Hope this helps. I've found the best way to use these books is to scan every name, because only the primaries are in the index, but the next of kin many have familiar family names. I've done that for my family and found a few "extras". Good hunting, Melody

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Sh.2ADI/1917.1 Message Board Post: Hi Nancy. I am not researching this line, just trying to be helpful. First, my wife and I spent four years in Ruislip, Middlesex and would like to tell you how much we enjoyed being there. I have a history book writen in 1885 which states that George Cook purchased land in Miller township, Dearborn county, Indiana in 1836. The 1840 census for that township unfortunately only listed the head of household by name. The family of George Cook included the following by age males: under 5 - 2, 5 to 10 - 10 to 15 - 1, 40 to 50 - 1, females: under 5 - 1, 5 to 10 - 1, 10 to 15 - 1, 30 to 40 - 1. The 1850 census for the township is better. The family included George Cook (spelled Coke), 50, a farmer, born in England, real estate worth $1500 rather a large amount for that time, - Priscilla, 47, born in England, - George, 20, farmer, England, - Thomas, 18, farmer, Canada, - Mary J, 17, Indiana as well as all others to follow, Robertson, 15, farmer, - Ann, 13, Drucilla, 12, - Rob! ert, 10, - Hannah, 9, - and Josiah, 7. In the 1860 census for the township the family included George Cook, 59, farmer, Eng, real estate $5000, - Priscilla, 57, Eng - Robinson (probably the Robertson from 1850), 26, farmer, Ind, - Robert, 20, Ind, - Hannah, 18, Ind, - Josiah, 16, Ind. Sorry, I do not have an index for the 1870 census. In the 1880 census George Cook is listed as 79, a widower, living in Logan township, Dearborn county. The history book states that George Cook was still alive at that date and was 85 years old. It also states that his wife Priscilla died on 31 Aug 1879. Hope this helps. Good luck. Don
