I have not done any Jones research but I an tell you from experience that you will also want to consider any Kerr Jones you might find. Also, a Wesley Jones, a minister apparently, married Allie Luther in Harrison Co, IN, in 1817, I have the idea they had no children, but Wesley did live in Owen and/or Clay Co. This might give you an idea where to look.
