I'm not sure who John Long's parents were. But interesting is the fact that Matthew Ralphard COLE son of William COLE and Nancy LUTHER. After Matthew Ralpard COLE married Matilda BASS they moved to Boone Co., IA I'm beginning to think that some of these ancestors followed each other all over the country. Just checked my records, I have Sarah Luther b. 1820 m. John Long (no birth date). And Sarah as the daughter of Joseph Luther who was married to Mary Downs. I have no other Sarah Luther that would match up closely with a date and was married to a John Long. I don't know if this helps or just adds more confusion to all of this. Bev.
