My Graves line is John Graves and wife Polly Smitherman. Tradition says John came from Troy, N.C. I believe his father was Samuel Graves, but I have no proof. I have John Graves children's names and birth dates. PINHOOK to BRAZIL by Nell Decker Hubbard shows John's wife as Nancy Ann Smitherman, but that is an error. Nancy was her sister and she married Harbard Spencer. I think I copied the marriage records for the Graves in North Carolina and put them in the files at ccgs.
