I don't know the exact population, but was probably 2 x 4 miles in area. Was a mining town and had streets laid out with similar company houses and several businesses. My father and his parents and brother came there in 1901 from Italy and moved to Vigo County in 1908. I have checked the St. Mary's Cemetery listing and Pavelko does not show. LDS library in Salt Lake City has a microfilm of the register of the St. Marys Catholic Church which is a great resource for this town. It shows batisims, marriages, deaths, etc. That would be a key place to search for the Pavelko family.
