My GGrandfather on my mother's side, bought a lot from Carbon Block Coal Company in Carbon around 1870. My GGrandfather Pietro Zambenini, was down in McAlester OK in 1894 and they had a big explosion that killed over 100 people. Fortunatly he was off sick that day and the ones who survived found that deep mines were opening around Perth IN and they all high tailed it up to Perth.
