The book you need is "The Cory Story" which is an area in Clay Co.. This book has two full pages of just Names of MODESITT people and it also has the COLE you referred to in your note. Clay Co. Historical Soc. published a rather large book (which has been sold out for some time - I wished I'd known about it earlier so I could've gotten one) and this book has not only family histories but in some cases photo's of the family. This is how I found a photo of my 2nd GGF John Nicholas MILLER. If you get ahold of the Clay Co. Genealogy Soc. they can help you out. They're a great group and friendly. Jan B. in OKC
