The URL is http://users.erinet.com/31363/fordand.htm There are currently listed 5 photos of a family with ties to Monroe County. I found in the 1860 census that a Susan Sillivan was employed by my g-g-grandfather, Absalom Baker, after his wife, Harriet Gentry, died, as there were still children at home. Since that wasn't a common name, I noticed it again when I was looking at some marriage records, and saw that Susan married J. Frank Carter (at Absalom Baker's home). On the site I mentioned above there is a picture of J. Frank Carter and his wife, Susan Sillivan Carter, taken by L. E. Shaw, a photographer of Bloomington. There is a picture of their son, William A. Carter (1867-1908) and another of him and his wife, Beatrice Moore. There is a picture of Neva Carter. And there is a picture of Polly Ann Pafford, identified as a daughter of Frank and Susan. Most, if not all, of these photos were found in Holland, Michigan. I have no interest in them myself, but I felt I must mention them in case there is still someone in the Bloomington area (and on this list!) who would want these pictures. I have purchased one picture from this site and was well satisfied with the condition of the photo and the professional way the sale was handled. And by the way, mention of the Carter family was included in the materials transcribed by Linda Jenkins Wensel for this list from the Blanchard book, Counties of Morgan, Monroe and Brown, Indiana. It was about Ira Carter, who lived in Van Buren Township. Hope these photos find a home! Lucy K. --part1_1c.1e8f953.261814b2_boundary--
