Posted on: Clay County, In Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/In/Clay?read=958 Surname: Ebenezer Gilbert, Lydia Walker, Mary Walker ------------------------- Am trying to find any information on the WALKER/GILBERT lines that were in Clay Co, IN from at least 1840 until sometime before 1860 where they show up on the Edgar Co., IL census. Ebenezer Gilbert (b. ab 1825 OH) married Lydia Walker (b 19 Jan 1830 CLAY Co, IN) probably in Clay Co., IN. Mary WALKER b. ab 1796 in TN, was Lydia's mother. I have found Mary in the 1840 Clay Co census. She was alone. Later they all moved to Edgar Co, IL and Mary lived with Ebenezer and Lydia and their family. I have been unsuccessful at finding anything at all on Mary and Lydia's background (husband/father etc). I don't know if Mary was widowed, divorced, un-married mother or what. I have hit a brick wall. If anyone can help, it would be very greatly appreciated.Any infor on E. Gilbert would also be a great help and very welcome. Thank You. S.
