Thanks--it probably will. I'm just starting to look for him--the rest of his family stayed in Vigo and Sullivan Counties. I would really like to find his descendants--it's one of two unknown branches of the family--the other being near Vancouver and I have someone helping me with that. I guess the next thing would be to look at Clay Co births--I'm not sure what VCPL has for Clay Co--and perhaps at the county histories and the census. I was hoping someone in the family might be on the Clay list. Would you conclude that James married the same woman twice?
