There are Hipplehauser's at the Wabash Valley Obituary Index, the URL is: http://165.138.44.12/ The lists contain obit indexes from Vigo Co., Indiana and surrounding counties including Clay Co., IN and counties in IL. My husband's grandmother's name was Charlotte Hipplehauser/Hippelhauser. She married Hayes H. Johnson. Charlotte was born in 1900 and died Jan 30, 1971. They had a son named Harry. His marriage application states Charlotte was born in "Jackson Hill" Indiana. There is not a Jackson Hill but a Jacksonville, IN in Switzerland Co. If any of this sounds familiar, please let me know.
