    3. I'm writing to get more information about Andrew J Gray and Clarissa Elizabeth Hardin. The purpose is to find where he or both are buried at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Florida twp, Parke Co IN. There is no apparent Parke Co connection, but some possibilities. Andrew is one the list of Civil War veterans buried at Mt Olivet who has no stone and no known burial location. Perhaps one of his children lived in the Catlin area. I am not sure I have the correct Andrew Gray at this point, so please consider what I have found to be theory. An Andrew Gray is a 17 year old son in the household of Henry and Rachael Gray in Clay Co per the 1850 census. (The township inscription is missing from my Ancestry image.) He has a younger sister Marietta. An Andrew Gray married Clarissa Elizabeth Hardin in Putnam Co IN on July 07, 1859. Andrew J Gray b abt 1832 OH may have been in the 22nd, 63rd, or 5th Indiana Infantry. He may also be Andrew J who served in the 122 Ohio Infantry. I can't find Andrew and Clarissa Elizabeth in the 1860 census. In 1880 the family of Andrew J Gray and wife Elizabeth was in the north half of the Sixth Ward in Vigo Co IN. Children were Luetta, Edward(?), Charles, Alice, Nettie, and Georgia. Andrew was a laborer. In 1882 the family is in the Terre Haute city Directory. In 1900 Andrew is age 58, Clarissa is age 48, and her mother probable Elizabeth Hardin age 76 is living with them. There are two Hardins buried at Mt Olivet Cemetery, and Nellie Hardin is buried there, wife of Thomas Catlin. Any suggestions appreciated! Sharon Mills
