Hi Sid, Thanks so much for the information about George Washington Corbin. Can I impose once more and ask if you can check the 1860 Census for him? I know that one of the earlier census just enumerates the heads of households and/or all males and no females. I'm not sure if this is the one or not. The reason I'm looking even further back is to see if George may have been married and lost his first wife. My great grandmother would have been 19 in the 1870 Census having been born in 1851 and George would have been old enough to have been her father but there is no mention of her. I realize she could have been married and gone by that age but I don't have any difinitive proof that he was her father. Also, I have this notation from past research and wonder if you could check and see who this Benjamin Flowers was living with as of this census. Is this the same town and county as George?
