Surnames: Baker/Bliss Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xh.2ADE/1713.1.1.2.1.2.1.1.1 Message Board Post: In the will I was looking at which today I don't have with me was the name of Daniel Barker also in the place as it was Inv. of Estate accts. was the name of George Bliss.... now I thought this most interesting as the Bliss name shows up in McKean in the 1820 Census along with Elihu the Lewis's and Houslers... there was also the name Jacob Hooler... which is close enough for me to think this is the Housler's... remember this is a 1740 will in NJ. I'll regroup and get back on this... Also on another line I have a John Dewey in my line and it is thought he came out of Stonington CT he married in 1792 a Mitchell in New Bern NC but she came from Elizabeth NJ. so I know that family came down to NC... leaving this for later.. One of the first things I read on Penn was a book pub. about the different counties and Union Co. had a great tale of a little ol' lady named Smith who when her husband died continued making ' rifle ' barrels were highly prized by the men of the Bucktail Reg. well wander over to the Venango Co web page and look at the write up on Rockland Twp which is where Elihu Jr. ended up and look at all those Smith's... My problem is I can't hold my investigation to just one county and contact folks who are hunting same family lines .... from the stuff you sent Francis J. and Elihu Jr. were the two 'Rich' Chadwicks that Deb. talked of but they were out side of Cameron...
