Sorry, I can not locate a George Corbin in the 1860 Federal Census of Indiana that fits the description of your George. There is a George of the same age in Sullivan County, Indiana living with his father Alex Corbin in 1860, however, he is also listed in his father's household in the 1870 census along with, presumably, his wife, Sarah, and in both 1860 and 1870 this George says he was born in Kentucky. No minor children. The 1860 census did not identify the relationships of the members of the household or marital status unless married in that census year. The below named Benjamin Flowers at age 15 and born in Illinois is employed as a clerk in the household of George, age 62 and Eliza Flowers, age 60 in Harmony Township, Posey County, Indiana. This is not the same location as the George Corbin earlier discussed in Posey Township, Clay County, Indiana. The George Flowers household appears to be a boarding house since George is shown as an inn keeper and there are several surnames listed in the household. The relationship of Benjamin to George is not shown. The Benjamin Flowers with wife Rachael, age 27, in the 1880 Federal Census of Indian Grove , Livingston County, Illinois was born abt 1856 in Virginia. Rachael says she was born in Virginia. At the risk of confusing Corbin families, I do note that there is a nine year old Rachel Corbin born in Virginia listed as part of a family at the top of page 132 of the 1860 Federal Census of Esmen, Livingston County, Illinois, however, the image available to me is missing pages 130 and 131, so I am not able to see the name of the head of the household which would have been at the bottom of page 131 at family #912. This partial household included Sarah, age 38 (probably the mother), Thos. K., age 14, Francis B. (M), age 12, Rachel, age 9, and Wm. T., age 6, all born in Virginia. I suspect this may be more confusing than helpful.
